How to use WhatsApp for your eCommerce

WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging networks today, which means that we must take it into account as an option to implement within the marketing strategy you use for your ecommerce.

This is where WhatsApp Business comes in, WhatsApp's brother, which is designed to carry out marketing campaigns. Therefore, it has additional functions to those originally offered by the original app, which help companies have better communication with their customers and develop successful marketing campaigns.

Some of these functions are:

  • Business Profile: This feature allows you to add important data about your business, such as location, hours of operation, description, email, and/or a link to your website.
  • Broadcast lists: They help create contact lists, in order to easily send messages in bulk.
  • Automatic responses: WhatsApp Business allows you to configure automatic welcome, away or other messages. These are sent every time a user writes via chat. Something similar to automations within emails
  • Statistics Dashboard: Although still a bit limited, there is a dashboard with statistics on messages delivered, sent, read and received.
  • Business API: WhatsApp API is a very important resource. For example, at doos we built an app that allows you to manage WhatsApp communication from an administrator, as well as various automations:
    • Creation of menus with answers to FAQ, purchase help, order status, among others
    • Automatic notifications for new stock, abandoned cart, order shipped, ready to ship or delivered, etc.
    • Global announcements to the database

WhatsApp can be a great platform to develop your marketing strategy, however, like all other platforms, it must have a well-planned strategy to obtain the desired results.
